Arizona to vote on Medical Marijuana Card Program

by admin on October 7, 2010

In this year’s November election, residents of Arizona are set to vote on an initiative that would legalize medical marijuana for patient use.  If passed, Arizona will become the 15th state to recognize the legitimacy of medical cannabis as an alternative treatment.   The initiative is interesting because it will allow private parties to open up store-front marijuana dispensaries to serve the patients of Arizona.

With Arizona having such stringent marijuana laws as it is, (a felony for possessing a marginal amount), it is surprising that the proposed law would be as compassionate to the medical pot community as it is.  Nevertheless, Arizona medical marijuana card holders will have plenty to smile about come election day, as this initiative has taken a commanding lead in the polls heading up to election day.

I live in Mississippi and am in trouble for smoking pot. 100% Disabled American Veteran. Epileptic with bi-polar disorder and hepitisis C. Taking many pills “to make me normal”. My Judge recognizes the medical effects of using legal marijuana. I say that because I’m on probation which requires a regular urine test. He will allow a dirty test if I have a permit from a state where it’s legal . . If I move to a state where medical pot is legal.
They ALL have the same paperwork that I will show the doctor in the state where I end up and they don’t question whether I could get a permit. They just want me to get out of Mississippi. My family is here.
What other option do I have?!?

This sucks! Arizona has to be the most anal retentive state on the applications and concerns of medicinal use of marijuana because it’s the world’s EASIEST place to get it?? So you either have to have a terminal condition OR in enough pain to justify its use but neither one could afford to or ignore their pain long enough to pick up a hash stick in order for its intended purpose!!? Do you see the backwardness of this deal; not surprisingly enough MOST of Arizona’s policies to people’s interests are in fact formulated to subsequently hinder anyone who tries to extract any benefits from it!!
